You will also contribute to the ongoing development of the non-financial risk framework, supporting the design, testing, and embedding of robust risk management and governance practices. Success in this role comes from combining strong subject matter expertise with the ability to build effective relationships across the risk and control community and all three lines of defence.

What will your day look like?

  • Partner with business and functional teams (embedded and non-embedded) to support effective, risk-aware decision-making
  • Identify, assess and support the mitigation of emerging and crystallised risks, escalating where appropriate
  • Translate risk policies, frameworks and standards into clear, practical actions to drive understanding, embedment, and compliance
  • Lead oversight and analysis of risk events, issues and control failures, ensuring timely and effective remediation
  • Perform root cause and trend analysis to identify themes, drive continuous improvement and enhance risk management effectiveness
  • Support RCSA activity, including workshops, attestations, control testing and ongoing maintenance of risk profiles
  • Contribute to governance forums and risk committees, supporting reporting, insights and continuous improvement of non-financial risk practices

What do we expect from you?

  • Strong understanding of the Financial Services industry
