We’re looking for a proactive and motivated individual to join our New Business Sales team. Predominantly telephony‑based, this role focuses on delivering outstanding service on every call, building strong broker relationships, and promoting the Aldermore proposition to help brokers place quality mortgage applications. You’ll stay ahead of product and criteria changes, identify new opportunities, and contribute directly to our business growth targets.
What will your day look like?
- Maximise broker opportunities via regular outbound and inbound telephone contact to achieve required levels of new business in line with overall performance of KPIs.
- Proactively manage and support broker relationships by telephone, ensuring strong engagement and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Deliver engaging telephone‑based presentations and broker briefings either one‑to‑one or to small groups via virtual channels.
- Develop, maintain and implement an effective telephony contact strategy for brokers.
- Maintain a strong knowledge and awareness of Aldermore’s products and services, ensuring these are effectively communicated over the phone.
- Proactively encourage brokers to consider the benefits of Aldermore’s services during every call.
What do we expect from you?
- Proven business‑to‑business experience within financial services, ideally gained in the intermediary mortgage market.
- Strong relationship‑building and account management skills with the ability to maintain broker engagement primarily via telephone contact.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of the UK mortgage market, including intermediary distribution.
- Consistently high standards of personal performance in the day‑to‑day delivery of tasks and sales activity.
- Excellent telephone communication skills with the ability to influence and engage a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Previous experience of managing a defined panel of intermediary brokers remotely by telephone with clear evidence of delivering results.
- Demonstrated success in implementing and maintaining an effective telephony contact strategy to maximise broker relationships and new business.
- Proven ability to handle objections over the phone, resolving issues effectively while maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders.
- Highly motivated with a results‑driven can‑do attitude focused on achieving personal sales targets while supporting team success.
