The Murex Product Lead plays a key role within the Finance & Treasury Product Squad, supporting the day-to-day operation, enhancement, and continuous improvement of the Murex platform. Working closely with Treasury, Risk, Finance, Compliance, and Technology teams, you’ll help ensure Murex continues to meet business needs and delivers value to users.
Treasury is at the heart of Aldermore, and this is your opportunity to join us in a key role where you’ll have the autonomy to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, building a deep understanding of how our treasury teams use the system, and the external Murex development team. In this unique role you’ll provide ‘front to back’ support, leveraging your previous experience of Murex to act as the conduit between our treasury teams and the provider.
What will your day look like?
- Provide day-to-day support to Treasury users of the Murex platform, resolving issues, answering queries, and ensuring the system meets business needs.
- Partner with Treasury and Technology teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into clear functional requirements and user stories.
- Support the delivery of system enhancements and change initiatives, including analysis, configuration, testing, and implementation activities.
- Coordinate and execute testing activities, including test scenario preparation, UAT support, defect management, and issue resolution.
- Maintain system documentation and configuration, ensuring changes are appropriately governed, controlled, and documented.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships across Treasury, Risk, Finance, Operations, and Technology, driving continuous improvement of the Murex platform, processes, reporting, and user experience.
What do we expect from you?
- Previous experience with Murex is desirable, however, significant experience with similar Treasury systems in a banking or financial services environment will be considered.
- Excellent understanding of Treasury products and processes, with knowledge of FX, derivatives, money markets or fixed income considered advantageous.
- Ability to engage with business stakeholders, gather requirements, and help translate business needs into effective system solutions.
- Experience supporting system change, configuration, application support or technology delivery, with a keen interest in developing technical expertise.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience investigating issues, troubleshooting, and driving resolutions.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across business, technology and vendor teams and explain complex concepts clearly.
