Let us tell a bit about the opportunity
- Develop structured & middle ticket asset finance business opportunities across the UK in the Wholesale market
- Contribute to broader strategy in line with the business plan, including risk appetite and returns achievement
- To achieve volume, margin & fee targets as set by the Head of Wholesale
- Develop Sales Territory for self & team
- Build deep and long-standing Customer & Introducer relationships
- Build a portfolio of performing assets that grows substantially year on year and includes a customer retention strategy
- Identify product gaps & work with functional leaders to build and deliver business capabilities, drive product development and enter new and/or adjacent markets within Wholesale markets.
What will your day look like?
- Achievement of financial and non-financial targets within the designated markets as agreed from time to time with senior management.
- the acquisition, development, and local management (where required) of relationships within the designated markets.
- the undertaking of, or participation within, projects as determined from time to time by senior management
- Direct and indirect responsibility for delivering customer solutions aligned to the credit and product approvals, satisfactory customer documentation in conjunction with group legal.
- Compliance with all aspects of corporate policy on a day-to-day basis, in particular the undertaking where required of credit applications, documentation, anti-money laundering and any other compliance or risk management related checks.
- Manage your portfolio of originated transactions to perform in line with Wholesale Finance expectations in respect of arrears, delinquency and returns
What do we expect from you?
- In depth experience and good track record within UK asset finance market with exposure to all established financing structures and excellent documentation skills with a particular focus on the Wholesale market. Driven by the need to make it as easy as possible for customers to do business with Aldermore and create as much time as possible to sell & manage client relationships.
- A performance driven / results focused individual who is not afraid to challenge combined with a good attention to detail. A self-starter that is always looking for opportunities for self-improvement. Enthusiastic individual who motivates and supports others to be likewise. Always demonstrates a clear understanding of all customer value drivers.
- Income focused, logical and able to demonstrate proficiency in respect of all aspects of financial mathematics and the concept of present value.
- Capable of working as a member of a geographically diverse team. An involved and involving team player who sees what needs to be done and gets on with it without seeking permission.
- Good sector knowledge with personal reputation within the sector for honesty, dependability, and professionalism. Good track record in target achievement.
- Capability to evaluate competitive products as well as price end user and/or supplier offerings.
- Excellent risk assessment skills and credit risk report writing.
- Good working knowledge of asset finance documentation, compliance requirements (KYC / DPA / CCA etc.) combined with good negotiating skills
