Chartered Civil Engineer

Our client, a well-established and growing consultancy, is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join their expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in Highways and Drainage design, who enjoys a hands-on, project-focused role, balanced with technical leadership and client liaison responsibilities. About the Role As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will: * Lead and support the delivery of Highways and Drainage design projects. * Mentor and guide graduate engineers and technicians across multiple office locations. * Manage multiple clients and projects, ensuring deliverables meet technical standards and client expectations. * Collaborate closely with Directors to support business development, improve design quality, and maintain operational efficiency. * Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality procedures. About You You are a Chartered Engineer (CIWEM, ICE or CIHT) with: * A minimum of five years\’ experience in Highways and Drainage design. * Proficiency in AutoCAD and Causeway Flow (or equivalent design software). * Experience with detailed calculations, sketches, specifications, and technical reports. * Strong working knowledge of adoptable infrastructure standards including Section 38, 104, and 278. * Familiarity with CIRIA guidance, BRE digests, BS EN752, and Design and Construction Guidance. * Excellent communication skills, with experience in stakeholder and client engagement. * Commercial awareness relating to budgeting, costing, and quotations. Desirable Skills * Previous project management experience. * Leadership capability and a proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation.
