Alderley Group is an award-winning, rapidly expanding UK development company specialising in sourcing land for new-build affordable housing schemes. Our in-house construction team, Alderley Partnerships, operates under JCT D&B contracts, delivering high-quality projects across England.
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our team at Alderley Partnerships to assist in the delivery of an affordable housing development in Warrington. Due to the nature of this role, we are only accepting applications from those living locally or within travelling proximity of the North West of England. About the Role
As a Site Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day site operations with a strong focus on finishing works. Working alongside the Senior Site Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing trades, quality control, snagging, and ensuring the project stays on track for Practical Completion.
Health, Safety & Environment
- Ensure full compliance with Alderley Group’s Health, Safety & Environment Policy and project-specific plans.
- Conduct daily/weekly site inspections and ensure required documentation is up to date.
- Monitor and enforce safe working practices at all times.
- Support site audits and inspections conducted by H&S representatives or external authorities.
Leadership
- Support the Senior Site Manager in supervising subcontractors and finishing teams.
- Coordinate trades to ensure programme deadlines are met without compromising quality.
- Motivate and guide site operatives to achieve high standards of performance and workmanship.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
- Assist with call-offs, delivery scheduling, and site logistics.
Finishing & Handover
- Oversee and manage finishing trades to ensure high-quality standards across all plots.
- Carry out snagging inspections and coordinate remedial works.
- Assist in preparing plots for final inspections, compliance checks, and handover.
- Maintain site cleanliness and organisation in line with Considerate Constructors Scheme.
What You’ll Need
- Experience: Proven background in residential construction, with experience in finishing and handovers.
- Certifications: Valid CSCS card (Black or Gold), SMSTS, First Aid at Work.
- Skills: Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, attention to detail, confident in coordinating trades and resolving issues on site.
- Transport: Own transport to and from site is essential.
