Alderbrook Care Home is a modern, purpose built care home located in Leeds, providing specialist Complex Care for up to 140 residents. The home supports individuals with complex physical and mental health needs within a safe, structured and supportive environment focused on dignity, wellbeing and person centred care.

Contract: £22.88 per hour

Contracted to 42 hours per week Nightshift

Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided

5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Ongoing training, clinical updates and funded development, with clear and supported progression into Senior, Clinical Lead and Management roles, within a well led, professional environment where your skills are recognised and developed.

Role Overview:

As a Mental Health Nurse, you will deliver high quality, person centred care within a specialist complex care setting, supporting individuals with a range of mental health conditions and complex needs. You will assess, plan and review care, supporting both the clinical and emotional wellbeing of residents. Working in a structured environment, you will help maintain stability, promote positive outcomes and respond appropriately to changes in behaviour or mental health. Leading shifts, you will support and guide the care team, ensuring safe, consistent and effective care is delivered at all times. You will contribute to behaviour support strategies, risk management and the overall therapeutic environment, using your skills and judgement to support residents in a calm and professional manner. Working closely with colleagues, families and external professionals, you will ensure clear communication, accurate documentation and continuity of care, contributing to a safe and supportive environment where dignity, respect and wellbeing are prioritised.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with an active NMC PIN
  • Strong clinical judgement and decision making skills
  • Confidence supporting individuals with complex mental health needs
  • Experience in mental health or complex care is beneficial
  • A calm, patient and resilient approach
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to delivering high quality, person centred care
