Are you enthusiastic, caring, and full of energy? We’re looking for a dedicated Playworker to join our friendly primary school team, supporting our After School Club. This is a wonderful opportunity to play a key role in creating a safe, welcoming and fun environment where our children can thrive after the school day. This role is perfect for someone who loves working with children and wants to be part of a supportive school community.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 3.15pm to 5.30pm, term time only, 11hrs 15 mins per week.

The role involves:

  • The provision of a happy and safe environment for all staff and pupils.
  • Assisting with the day‑to‑day operations of the after‑school club, ensuring all activities are delivered to the club’s high standards at all times.
  • Providing a safe and secure environment for the children in your care to explore, grow and have FUN!

The successful applicant should have:

  • Excellent communication skills with young children.
  • The ability to work under your own initiative as well as part of an established team.
  • The ability to organise and teach children to play games.

Applicants must be 17 or over. This is because, under the Ofsted‑regulated Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements, staff must be at least 17 to be counted in statutory staff‑to‑child ratios. This ensures we can meet our legal duties for safeguarding, supervision, and the quality of care provided.
