An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a growing Building Services consultancy with an excellent reputation for delivering innovative engineering solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical building services designs while supporting the successful delivery of projects from concept through to completion. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the electrical design on a wide variety of building services projects.
  • Producing electrical calculations, specifications, drawings and technical documentation.
  • Developing innovative, energy-efficient and low-carbon engineering solutions.
  • Working closely with clients, architects and multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Managing project delivery to agreed programmes, budgets and quality standards.
  • Coordinating Mechanical & Electrical design activities across projects.
  • Reviewing and checking engineering designs completed by other team members.
  • Mentoring graduate and junior engineers to support their professional development.
  • Attending client, design and site meetings as the lead electrical representative.
  • Supporting business development by building strong client relationships and identifying future opportunities.
  • Promoting engineering excellence, quality assurance and sustainable design principles.

You'll already be operating at Senior Engineer level within Building Services and be looking to further develop your technical leadership and project management experience. You'll ideally have:

  • Degree qualification in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Chartered Engineer status or be actively working towards Chartership.
  • Strong experience delivering electrical building services projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of current British Standards and Building Regulations.
  • Proven project management and client-facing experience.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience mentoring and developing junior engineers.
  • A collaborative and proactive approach to problem solving.

Experience with industry-standard software is highly desirable, including:

  • Amtech / Hevacomp
  • Dialux / Relux
  • CAD software
  • Microsoft Office
  • Building Services design software

Experience with BIM, modelling software, renewable energy technologies, low-carbon design or BREEAM projects would be advantageous.
