An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced E-Commerce Manager to join a growing and ambitious business in Essex. This is a hands-on role offering genuine ownership of the online trading function. You'll be responsible for driving performance across Shopify, Amazon and digital marketing channels, working closely with senior leadership to identify growth opportunities and maximise revenue. This role would suit someone who enjoys combining commercial thinking with practical execution and wants the autonomy to make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of day-to-day eCommerce trading performance.
- Drive improvements in conversion rate, average order value and customer experience.
- Develop and manage a roadmap of CRO initiatives including A/B testing, UX improvements and customer journey optimisation.
- Manage product merchandising, content and on-site performance.
- Analyse trading and customer data to identify opportunities for growth.
- Develop promotional strategies, product bundles and pricing initiatives.
- Manage and optimise the Shopify platform, including product catalogue, collections and navigation.
- Establish and grow the Amazon marketplace channel.
- Work closely with SEO and PPC partners to improve acquisition performance.
- Develop customer retention strategies through email marketing and audience segmentation.
- Collaborate with internal creative resources to deliver engaging digital content.
- Manage relationships with external agencies and platform partners.
- Produce regular trading and performance reports with clear recommendations and actions.
About You
- Previous experience within an eCommerce management role.
- Strong Shopify experience with a proven track record of improving online performance.
- Amazon Seller Central experience.
- Knowledge of Google Ads and performance marketing.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practice.
- Excellent analytical skills with a data-led approach to decision making.
- Confidence working with performance data and reporting tools.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable
- Experience within DIY, electrical, lighting, trade or home improvement sectors would be advantageous.
