I’m currently working with a high-performing, global capital markets firm looking to hire a Senior Associate/VP-level Product Controller to join their finance team. This is a broad, front-office aligned role with exposure across trading activities and investment portfolios, offering strong commercial visibility and the opportunity to influence decision-making.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Production and analysis of daily P&L and balance sheet reporting
- Investigation and resolution of breaks between front-office and finance systems
- Building strong relationships with Trading and Operations teams
- Supporting statutory audits across trading and investment portfolios
- Partnering with Treasury on capital allocation across business lines
- Developing and monitoring ROCE metrics, identifying key drivers and performance trends
- Enhancing reporting frameworks to deliver actionable insights to senior stakeholders
- Contributing to month-end close and wider finance processes
- Gaining a deep understanding of products, trading strategies, and full trade lifecycle
- Designing and implementing automated controls and process improvements
- Driving data quality initiatives and operational efficiencies
- Supporting internal and external financial reporting requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- ACA / ACCA / CFA qualification
- Strong product control experience within a capital markets environment
- Solid understanding of derivatives / options
- Proven experience in process improvement, automation, or change initiatives
- Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail
- Commercial awareness with the ability to partner effectively with front office
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A collaborative, team-oriented approach
