Spray Painter / Spray Finisher Bespoke Joinery
Were recruiting on behalf of an established bespoke joinery and furniture manufacturer looking for an experienced Spray Painter / Spray Finisher to join their production team.
This is a skilled finishing role working across high-end bespoke joinery, cabinetry and furniture, combining traditional spray-finishing techniques with the operation of modern automated finishing equipment.
The Role
- Apply primers, sealers, base coats, lacquers and specialist coatings.
- Work with MDF, solid timber, veneers, laminates and other furniture/joinery substrates .
- Use conventional, HVLP and air-assisted airless spray equipment.
- Mix coatings, catalysts, hardeners and thinners accurately.
- Maintain colour consistency, sheen levels and overall finish quality.
- Identify and rectify defects such as runs, orange peel, contamination and colour inconsistencies.
- Carry out polishing and finishing where required.
- Operate and monitor automated spray-finishing equipment.
- Set up production runs and adjust machine settings.
- Clean and maintain spray guns, pumps, pressure pots and associated equipment.
- Support junior sprayers and preparation staff where required.
