An established bespoke joinery manufacturer is looking to appoint an experienced Workshop Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of its manufacturing facility. The business delivers high-quality joinery, cabinetry and interior packages for high-end residential and commercial projects.

The Role

  • Manage the daily running of the joinery workshop, ensuring production targets and delivery deadlines are achieved.
  • Lead, mentor and organise a team of bench joiners, machinists and workshop operatives.
  • Plan production schedules and allocate labour effectively across multiple live projects.
  • Maintain exceptional quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Liaise with the design, contracts and project teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Coordinate material requirements with purchasing to minimise production delays.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and manufacturing processes.
  • Promote and enforce Health & Safety procedures across the workshop.

About You

  • Previous experience managing a joinery or woodworking manufacturing workshop.
  • Strong background in bespoke joinery, architectural joinery or furniture manufacturing.
  • Able to read and interpret manufacturing and technical drawings.
  • Experience managing production programmes and workshop teams.
  • Excellent organisational, leadership and communication skills.
  • Good understanding of workshop machinery, manufacturing processes and quality control.
  • Committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and meeting project deadlines.

Package

  • £40,000 - £60,000 depending on experience.
