Technical Designer Bespoke Joinery
Were recruiting on behalf of a well-established bespoke joinery and furniture manufacturer looking to appoint an experienced Technical Designer / Draughtsperson to join their design team.

The role will involve taking projects from design intent through to manufacture, producing accurate manufacturing drawings, technical documentation and 3D models for bespoke joinery and furniture projects.

The Role

Produce detailed manufacturing and workshop drawings using Solid Works .

Create accurate 3D models, assemblies and technical details.

Produce cutting lists, machining information and production documentation.

Interpret architectural drawings, interior design packages and client specifications.

Develop practical, buildable solutions suitable for workshop manufacture and CNC production.

Work closely with Project Managers, Estimators, CNC Programmers and the workshop team.

Manage drawing amendments, revisions and technical documentation throughout projects.

Requirements
Minimum 3 years experience within bespoke joinery, cabinet making or furniture manufacturing.

Strong experience using Solid Works for manufacturing drawings and technical design.

Good understanding of bespoke joinery construction and furniture manufacturing methods.

Knowledge of materials including MDF, MFC, plywood, veneers, laminates and solid timber.

Able to produce workshop-ready drawings suitable for CNC processing.

Strong technical understanding and attention to detail.

Advantageous
SWOOD experience .

CNC programming or machining knowledge.

Experience with HOMAG equipment.

Auto CAD, Sketch Up or Smart WOP knowledge.

Experience designing bespoke kitchens, wardrobes, fitted furniture and commercial joinery.

Previous bench joinery or workshop experience.
