looking for an experienced
Spray Painter / Spray Finisher
to join their production team.
This is a skilled finishing role working across high-end bespoke joinery, cabinetry and furniture, combining traditional spray-finishing techniques with the operation of modern automated finishing equipment.
The Role Apply primers, sealers, base coats, lacquers and specialist coatings.
Work with
MDF, solid timber, veneers, laminates and other furniture/joinery substrates .
Use conventional, HVLP and air-assisted airless spray equipment.
Mix coatings, catalysts, hardeners and thinners accurately.
Maintain colour consistency, sheen levels and overall finish quality.
Identify and rectify defects such as runs, orange peel, contamination and colour inconsistencies.
Carry out polishing and finishing where required.
Operate and monitor automated spray-finishing equipment.
Set up production runs and adjust machine settings.
Clean and maintain spray guns, pumps, pressure pots and associated equipment.
Support junior sprayers and preparation staff where required.
Requirements Strong experience in professional
spray finishing within joinery, cabinetry or furniture manufacturing .
Good knowledge of polyurethane, acrylic, water-based and specialist coating systems.
Experienced with conventional, HVLP and air-assisted airless spraying.
Strong colour-matching and finishing knowledge.
High attention to detail and pride in producing a premium finish.
Experience with automated spray equipment would be highly advantageous.
Good understanding of spray equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Reliable, organised and comfortable working within a busy production environment.
