I'm working with a specialist contractor delivering high-end bespoke joinery across luxury residential and commercial projects. They are looking to appoint a CAD Manager to lead the design function and oversee the technical delivery of joinery packages from concept through to manufacture.
The Role
- Take ownership of the CAD/design team, ensuring all drawings are produced to a high standard, are technically accurate, and align with both client expectations and production requirements.
- Act as the key link between design, commercial, and manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the CAD/design team, overseeing workload, quality, and output.
- Review and approve detailed joinery drawings prior to release for production.
- Ensure all drawings are accurate, buildable, and aligned with project specifications.
- Coordinate closely with project managers, estimators, and workshop teams.
- Interpret design intent and translate into practical joinery solutions.
- Implement and maintain drawing standards, processes, and best practices.
- Support problem-solving across technical design challenges.
- Manage drawing programmes in line with project timelines.
- Act as a senior point of contact for technical queries (internal and client-side).
