Main Purpose / Objectives of Role
The primary responsibilities of our Wheeled Loading Shovel Operator is to be responsible for manoeuvring heavy front-end loaders to move bulk materials (such as aggregates, earth, or waste) and safely load them into HGV lorries or hoppers, ensuring stockpiles are monitored and maintained. You will play a key role in ensuring all vehicles remain safe, compliant, roadworthy, and operational at all times.
Key Duties / Responsibilities
- Operating a loading shovel safely on site
- Loading collection and HGV vehicles
- Feeding shredders, screeners, and processing equipment
- Transporting materials across the facility
- Ensuring stockpiles are monitored and maintained
- Daily inspection of machine are conducted
- Maintenance of machine is performed to include greasing, cleaning, and monitoring
- Inspection and maintenance of any attachments
- Recording and reporting on a daily check sheet including hours and any defects
- Start up and shut down procedures of the machine
- To operate machine to a competent level and within site conditions
- Reports any safety and maintenance issues to the Manager
- Work flexibly and be receptive and adaptable to a changing environment within a fast-expanding Company
- Ensure PPE is worn at all times
- Undertake any other reasonable tasks as directed by management

The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience as a WSL Operator
- A Recognised NPORS or CPCS Loading Shovel License is essential
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence due to work location
