Are you an experienced Sales Manager ready for your next challenge? We are on the hunt for a dynamic Sales Leader to guide and support our phone-based new business team. This role is centered around driving team growth through effective coaching, streamlined processes, and a strong focus on performance. You will be at the helm of ensuring monthly sales targets are consistently met, keeping the team energized and the sales operation running efficiently.

What that means day to day

As Sales Manager, you will play a key role in leading and developing the sales team. Your focus will be on creating a positive, performance-driven environment where people feel supported and set up to succeed. You will be responsible for:

  • Lead and inspire a team of sales executives, setting clear expectations, coaching for success, and supporting growth through regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and development plans.
  • Own the recruitment process for the team, from hiring the right talent to ensuring every new starter has a smooth and structured onboarding and training experience.
  • Drive performance by holding full accountability for team KPIs across sales revenue and volume, keeping a sharp eye on budget and stretch targets.
  • Shape the sales journey from lead to conversion, streamlining processes, managing campaign timelines, and consistently improving conversion rates.
  • Collaborate across teams work with Marketing, Mobilisation, and Field Sales to ensure a strong flow of qualified leads and alignment on strategy.
  • Stay ahead of the numbers, providing accurate monthly forecasting on both volume and value.
  • Champion continuous improvement, identifying and delivering initiatives that enhance volume, value, and conversion.
  • Support seamless handovers by working closely with Field Sales teams to ensure effective implementation processes for new business clients.
  • Be the go-to escalation point for client queries related to new business—making sure issues are resolved quickly and professionally.

What you will need to be successful

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in managing phone-based new business sales teams, with a strong understanding of sales processes and a commitment to continuous improvement. They will be confident in reviewing and redesigning sales workflows to maximise efficiency and results. Strong team management skills are essential, including the ability to conduct one-to-one meetings, manage performance, and provide coaching and development support. The role requires someone who can effectively motivate and incentivise a team to achieve and exceed targets. A data-driven mindset is key, with the ability to analyse and interpret performance data to drive strategic decision-making.
