Location: Cardiff, UK | Compensation: £24,800 / year | Department: Operations

As a Customer Service Support Officer (Known internally as Technical Support Officer) at Alcumus, you’ll support the Audit Services team in the completion of desktop assessments of registered customer accreditation documentation, and provide technical support via phone and email to customers to ensure a first-class customer experience. You will work across our SafeContractor product, which provides UKAS-accredited contractor accreditation services to the contractor market. The role requires 3 days per week in the Cardiff office.

We offer onboarding and training, with opportunities to gain health and safety-specific qualifications required for the role.

What you’ll do

  • Complete pre-audit checks on customer information to ensure a minimum standard is demonstrated before it progresses to the full audit.
  • Review and collate required information for pre-audit checks and provide feedback to customers.
  • Support customers with areas of improvement to meet audit requirements and achieve accreditation.
  • Provide health and safety advice and guidance to customers (full training provided).

What you’ll need to be successful

Customer service, administrative experience and attention to detail are essential. You will liaise with customers and verify documentation ahead of the full audit cycle, demonstrate consistency in applying quality processes and identify discrepancies. You should be comfortable handling customer inquiries via telephone and email with a good standard of written English. You will be part of a close-knit team and should be able to work collaboratively toward common objectives. Some interest or experience in health and safety or compliance is welcome but not essential.
