Alcotox Ltd is a UK-based life sciences company pioneering alcohol harm reduction. Our scientifically validated products neutralise acetaldehyde—the toxic by-product of alcohol metabolism—reducing inflammation, organ toxicity, and long-term health risks. Our portfolio spans nutraceuticals, functional beverages, biotech, and AI-driven consumer health tools.

Founder-led, investor-backed, and entering a rapid execution phase, Alcotox is now positioned for commercial scale and global expansion. With regulatory approvals secured and product validation complete, we are focused on operational excellence and revenue generation.

We are addressing a long-overlooked gap within a global $1.8 trillion alcohol industry. Despite the scale of harm associated with alcohol use, innovation in harm reduction has lagged behind. Our approach brings scientific credibility, regulatory alignment, and consumer relevance to a sector overdue for change. We are building for global scale — and that demands big thinking, bold moves, and a clear bias toward execution. This role is an opportunity to help shape a category-defining company at a pivotal moment.

We are hiring a commercially focused, execution-driven Managing Director to take operational command of day-to-day delivery across the business. This is a fractional, equity-only role during the initial 3-month trial period, with a clear path to full-time employment and salary post-funding for candidates who deliver meaningful commercial and operational results.

While the role begins as Managing Director, it is designed for someone who can take full ownership of execution and operations, complementing the CEO, and ultimately leading day-to-day growth and scale. You will work directly with the founder to drive commercial traction (excluding Amazon), oversee operations, cut underperformance, and ensure the business moves forward rapidly. You will work with pace, precision, and full ownership—aligning execution with the company's commercial priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial execution across B2B, DTC, retail, pilots, and strategic channel partnerships (excluding Amazon).
  • Build and deliver short-term revenue through market activation, outreach, pre-orders, and distribution deals.
  • Oversee operational delivery: logistics, 3PL onboarding, inventory flow, and production coordination.
  • Drive internal performance: hold team members accountable, reallocate or remove low performers, and build a results-focused culture.
  • Track and report KPIs weekly—owning output across commercial and operational functions.
  • Translate high-level priorities into actionable plans with clear ownership and visible delivery.
  • Work closely with the CEO to identify bottlenecks, remove friction, and keep the business moving forward.

Who You Are

  • Proven general manager, COO, or commercial operator with full P&L or cross-functional ownership in a high-growth environment.
  • Track record of delivering commercial growth and operational results in consumer health, wellness, FMCG, biotech, or functional beverage sectors.
  • Obsessed with execution — comfortable owning everything from pre-orders to 3PLs to closing deals.
  • Strong leadership instincts — you build performance cultures, set clear targets, and move quickly.
  • High urgency, low ego — you don’t wait for meetings to act; you deliver.
  • Motivated by outcomes, not titles — ready to build something globally scalable with speed and ownership.
  • You operate with a founder's mindset — decisive, high output, and driven by genuine ownership and impact.

We care about one thing: whether the business moves forward because of you.

Compensation

  • Equity-Only (Trial Phase): This role begins as a fractional, equity-only commitment for a 3-month execution sprint.
  • Performance-Gated Path: Candidates who deliver meaningful commercial and operational results within the trial will be offered a full-time salaried position post-funding, with expanded equity and long-term upside.
  • Founder-Level Mindset: You will be working directly with a founder who’s all-in. This is a rare chance to take real ownership and shape the direction of a company from the ground up. If you bring the right energy and results, you will be at the heart of every major decision.
