The Role

The Project Manager is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of onsite works, ensuring projects meet programme, quality and commercial expectations.

The role supports the successful completion of multi-utility schemes by overseeing site activities, coordinating resources and maintaining strong communication with clients, partners and internal teams.

Role Content

The purpose of the job is to take primary responsibility for onsite delivery, to manage and drive productivity to meet the financial targets of projects for our clients and customers.

Ensuring effective resource deployment and delivery of the projects in line with budget, client’s expectations and to the technical standards required by the asset adopter will also be part of the Project Manager’s role.

Client and customer satisfaction is a key focal point for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring full compliance with legislative, industry, and business requirements.
  • Day-to-day management and direct responsibility for operational teams including communication on project progress to clients.
  • Planning and programming work in line with client work requests, including communication with client to ascertain requirements and programme expectations.
  • Understanding new scheme awards, by familiarising themselves with scheme quotes, estimates, design packs and attending hand over meetings.
  • Arranging and attending Client Scheme Award & Pre-Start Meetings.
  • Coordination of any third party works necessary to facilitate our works as specified in scheme design packs and connection quotes.
  • Ensuring construction paperwork is completed in full and returned to the administration team for processing/submission, in line with asset adopter standards.
  • Management and procurement of materials for projects and reporting on progress.
  • Assisting with project performance reviews.
  • Providing training/ mentoring as required.
  • Responsibility for the P&L for each scheme and reporting on progress.
