Trade Marketing Manager

As a Trade Marketing Manager, supporting our Vision Care business in the UK, you will be trusted to develop and execute customer-focused trade marketing strategies that drive category growth, strengthen key retail partnerships, and deliver commercial success.

This is an onsite role, 5dpw.

In this role, a typical day will include

  • Partnering closely with Key Account Managers and key retail customers to develop and execute Joint Business Plans that deliver sustainable growth for both Alcon and our partners.
  • Creating and implementing innovative trade marketing programmes, promotional campaigns, category management initiatives, and merchandising activities that increase sales performance and market share.
  • Working cross-functionally with Brand Marketing, Professional Education, Sales, and Commercial teams to ensure excellent execution of customer marketing initiatives.
  • Analyzing customer performance, market trends, shopper insights, and competitive activity to identify opportunities, optimize investment, and maximize return on trade marketing activities.
  • Measuring programme effectiveness, communicating results and recommendations to stakeholders, and continuously improving execution through data-driven decision making.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in Trade Marketing, Customer Marketing, Category Management, Key Account Management, or a related commercial function.
  • Experience working directly with external customers and retail partners, including influencing, negotiating, and collaborating on joint business initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate insights into commercially impactful actions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
  • Experience within healthcare, FMCG, consumer goods, medical devices, or optical/vision care industries is advantageous.
  • Passion for innovation, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
