Technical Review Engineer
The Technical Review Engineer will work closely with both the Internal Sales and Engineering departments within the Alco Valves Group. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating and validating technical specifications therefore enabling the Sales team to respond effectively to client requirements. Additionally, you will be tasked with the creation and maintenance of an internal database of all major Oil and Gas industry specifications and the applicability of those specifications to Alco Valve products, highlighting both opportunities and risks.
Your expertise will ensure that our products meet both client and code requirements and offer the highest standards of quality, safety, and functionality.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and validate technical specifications, and product documentation for valves products.
- Conduct in-depth technical evaluations to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, design, and quality assurance, to identify and resolve technical discrepancies.
- Provide expert recommendations for product improvements.
- Generate detailed technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations effectively.
- Stay updated on the latest industry developments, trends, and standards related to valve engineering.
- Attend seminars and valve industry standards committees supporting the Alco brand.

Qualification and Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the valve or associated industry with a proven track record in valve engineering, design, or similar.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical data.
- In depth working knowledge of industry design codes such as ASME, API, ISO, and DIN.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communicator able to work independently.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software and other engineering tools
- High competency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word as a minimum)
- Positive can-do attitude and flexible approach
- HND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred but not essential.
- Full Driving License required.
