Description of Position
The Project Sales Engineer is the client focal point for all Alco Valves Group global projects
Working across three sub brands, Alco Valves, Alco Hi-Tek & Sabre Instrumentation Valves, winning projects is the primary focus of the role. This is achieved by building EPC Contractor & End User relationships, identifying business opportunities via existing customer AVLs, quoting, negotiating and ultimately closing business opportunities with a view to commercial success and security for the Alco Valves Group.
Role Structure
The Internal Sales Engineer is a unique role within Alco Valves Group Sales Department. Reporting directly to the Group Sales Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Accountabilities
Utilise Alco’s network to ensure a robust pipeline of project opportunities
Identify end user specification to facilitate more opportunities
Compile accurate quotations based on project enquiries, ensuring deadlines are met with specific emphasis on technical accuracy and feasibility
Opportunities must be followed up and regular communication maintained with the customer
Review and mitigate commercial risk during negotiations and contract submittals, protecting Alco’s interests at all times whilst following the company’s commercial procedures
Liaise with all internal departments to ensure smooth running of secured project
Attend Internal Project Kickoff Meetings when required with each department head

The role is ideal for a motivated candidate with a desire to enhance his/her skills in a rapidly developing business with a highly experienced team.
Overseas travel may be required as part of this role
Salary
Highly competitive and negotiable depending on experience
Working Hours
38.3/4 hours per week
Monday to Thursday : 8.00am – 4.45pm – lunch 12.30 to 13.00 (or as required).
Friday : 8.00am – 13.30pm – no lunch
