Overview

Global Sales & Distribution Manager – MUST BE LOCAL OR EASY COMMUTE

We are a leading provider of high-performance valve products for the oil, gas, petrochemical, and hydrogen markets. Our global business operates worldwide and collaborates with distributors and customers in over 150 countries. The Global Sales & Distribution Manager is responsible for maximising the sales of the Alco Valves Group & Sabre Instrument Valves. The role is to ensure commercial success of a diverse range of manufactured valve products. This would involve working with brands, which has been established since 1977.

Responsibilities

  • Taking a technical, mechanical engineering product line into global markets, leveraging expertise and industry knowledge.
  • Establishing international distributors and managing them against pre-set targets for four main product lines.
  • Fostering strong relationships with clients and partners to drive business growth and development.
  • Driving sales globally for our group of 3 businesses, Alco Valves Ltd (Instrumentation Valves), Alco Hi-Tek (Piping, Process & Subsea Valves), Sabre Instrument Valves Ltd.
  • Maintaining & Managing our significant portfolio of Global Vendor Approvals to drive Alco specifications in end user/operator specifications.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A proven track record of success in sales and marketing management, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
  • Previous Sales and Distribution Management in the valve industry would be beneficial.
  • A background and experience in mechanical engineering, including HNC level qualifications and completion of a traditional engineering apprenticeship.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures and geographies.
  • International Travel would be a requirement in this role.

  • The Global Sales & Distribution Manager is a critical role within Alco Valves Group. Reporting directly to the Managing Director

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday : 8.00 – 16.45hrs – lunch 12.30 to 13.00 (or as required).
