Our client, an expert in archiving and digital preservation of valuable data is seeking a self-motivated Sales Development Representative to join their growing sales team. The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role and ideally have a background of selling into Pharmaceutical and Life Science organisations, or a thorough understanding of that market.
Responsibilities
- Represent our company’s products and services, starting with a comprehensive understanding and leading to consumer research to identify how our solutions meet needs
- Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding new potential sales outlets
- Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and engage sales executives for next steps
- Identify best practices to refine the company’s lead generation playbook
- Utilize SalesForce, cold calling, and email to generate new sales opportunities
- Identify prospect's needs and suggest appropriate products/services
- Build long-term trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities
- Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
Skills / Experience
- Demonstrable experience of over-achieving against sales targets
- Tenacity and drive to seek new business opportunities
- Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs
- An excellent telephone manner for making initial contact and for ongoing communication with customers and business associates
- Interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients
- Written and verbal communication skills - needed for communicating with a range of people, both internally and externally, as well as presentation skills
- Demonstrable experience of social selling using tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Teamworking skills and a collaborative approach to work
