Food & Beverage Manager

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and commercially minded Food & Beverage Manager to join the management team at a leading 4-star hotel in Derry. This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences, developing teams and driving strong operational and financial performance across all food and beverage outlets. The Role As Food & Beverage Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the hotels food and beverage department, ensuring consistently high standards of service, presentation and guest satisfaction. You will lead and motivate the F&B team while working closely with the General Manager and other department heads to achieve the hotels operational and commercial objectives. Key Responsibilities Manage the daily operation of all food and beverage outlets, including restaurant, bar, banqueting and events. Lead, motivate and develop the F&B team, creating a positive and professional working environment. Maintain consistently high standards of customer service and hospitality. Monitor departmental budgets, revenue, labour costs, stock control and GP performance. Plan staffing levels, rotas and service requirements effectively. Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service. Oversee weddings, conferences, functions and other large-scale events. Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety and licensing requirements. Handle guest feedback professionally and ensure appropriate follow-up. Support menu development, promotions and initiatives designed to increase revenue. Recruit, train and coach team members to deliver the hotels service standards. Contribute to the overall strategic and operational performance of the hotel. About You We are looking for someone who has: Previous management experience within a busy hotel, restaurant or hospitality environment. Strong leadership and people-management skills. Excellent communication and organisational abilities. A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding guest experiences. Good commercial awareness, including experience managing budgets and controlling costs. Experience in banqueting and events would be highly advantageous. A professional, hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example. The flexibility to work evenings, weekends and during busy periods as required.
