Alchemy Markets is looking to hire a compliance professional to join the growing team as a Senior Compliance Officer and MLRO with a solid background in FX and CFD products to lead the compliance function. The ideal candidate will take ownership of developing, implementing, and maintaining our FCA license liquidity solutions, in terms of managing compliance frameworks, ensuring we meet all regulatory obligations and internal standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in protecting the business and promoting a strong compliance culture across all areas of the company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Being the primary liaison with regulatory bodies.
- Audit, amend and lead the ongoing development and execution of the Compliance framework to meet all regulatory requirements.
- Ensuring that the firm complies, and demonstrates compliance, with all FCA and other regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that regulatory capital, compliance-related reporting obligations (e.g. EMIR, MiFIR) are being met, including advising, preparing and submitting regular reports to the FCA.
- Conduct periodic risk assessments of AML controls.
- Performing the SMF17 role, advancing the Firm’s AML policies and procedures to comply with all Regulations.
- Perform periodic Compliance and AML trainings to the business and senior management.
- Monitor suspicious transactions and Reports to the FCA and NCA when required.
- Oversee customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), and ongoing monitoring procedures.
- Drafting periodic and annual compliance and MLRO reports to the board, including the AML and anti-bribery risk assessments.
- Work with internal teams and external compliance consultants to strengthen the regulatory framework of the organization.
- Assist the Board in maintaining its ICARA and liquidity framework.
- Foster a compliance-driven culture by promoting awareness of compliance policies and the importance of ethical conduct.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE:
- 5+ years of experience in Compliance and Regulatory Affairs, preferably within the CFD and FX industry, with a strong focus on UK regulations.
- Experience engaging with the FCA and other regulatory authorities.
- Deep knowledge of AML legislation including the UK Money Laundering Regulations and JMLSG guidance.
- Commitment to confidentiality regarding compliance procedures and internal policies.
- Ability to navigate evolving regulatory landscapes and adjust compliance strategies accordingly.
- Proven leadership and ability to work independently.
