Overview
We are working with a Freight Forwarder that\’s looking to hire an experienced Warehouse and Forklift Operative in Dagenham. This role is working a 45 hour week including Saturday mornings on rotation, overtime is available.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts within the warehouse environment and external yard areas
- Utilise mobile yard ramps to facilitate the movement of goods
- Efficiently load and unload trailers, as well as domestic vehicles, ensuring all goods are handled with care and precision
- Skilfully manage the manual handling of light cargo, adhering to safety standards to prevent injury and damage
- Provide dependable coverage for team members during periods of holiday or sickness, ensuring continuity of operations
- Accurately process orders and perform administrative duties to support the logistical aspects of daily operations
- Commit to daily housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and organised work environment, contributing to operational efficiency and safety
