Our client, a leading removals company, is seeking a driven European Removals Manager to join their team on a hybrid working basis. You will manage and grow their European removals and relocation services, driving business development across private, trade, and corporate clients to deliver efficient, high-quality international removals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and close new business opportunities for private and trade removals across Europe.
- Design and implement operational routes and schedules for European removals to maximise vehicle utilisation and back-loads.
- Reach out to prospective removals clients and global trade partners via email and phone to promote their European moving services.
- Generate and follow up on quotations, negotiate terms, and close deals to secure new removals clients or global relocation contracts.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing trade partners and customers; respond promptly to enquiries and coordinate removals requirements.
- Schedule preâmove surveys, liaise with clients and partners to understand move requirements and removals customs needs.
- Provide accurate pricing and manage costings, including thirdâparty supplier rates, to ensure margin protection.
- Work with operations teams to allocate resources, confirm schedules, brief crew, and ensure all documentation and removals plans are in place.
- Monitor removals progress, address any issues or service failures, liaise with clients or partners to resolve problems, including postâmove followâup, insurance claims or complaints.
- Ensure compliance with removals industry standards and quality systems, and that all data and customer information is handled confidentially.
- Provide cover and support for colleagues when required, and participate in adâhoc projects or tasks as directed by management.
- Promote a collaborative and supportive team culture, contributing to professional development, quality improvement and operational excellence.
Key Skills & Experience
- Prior experience working in the removals or international relocation industry (private, corporate or trade relocations).
- Proven track record in sales or business development within removals, relocation, or logistics services.
- Strong knowledge of European removal routes, customs processes, and crossâborder logistics requirements.
- Excellent communication skills (phone and email), with the ability to build and maintain partner and customer relationships across cultures.
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with an eye for operational detail, resource allocation and efficient scheduling.
- Ability to negotiate competitive supplier rates and manage costings to protect margin, while maintaining service standards.
