Join a dynamic team in the aerospace industry as a Field Service Engineer (Structural). This role involves executing complex on-site programs, including aircraft maintenance, structural modifications, system upgrades, and assisting with depot setup. You will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, managing on-site work, and maintaining adherence to program metrics.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Review project proposals to confirm technical accuracy, feasibility, and completeness.
- Assist in outlining technical needs for subcontractor work agreements.
- Help the Program Manager structure project plans and schedules.
- Conduct site assessments to improve communication between clients and subcontractors.
- Supervise worksite activities to ensure quality, compliance, and timely execution.
- Coordinate and lead routine meetings with subcontractors and clients to address potential issues early.
- Verify adherence to aerospace regulations, safety measures, and best industry practices.
- Act as the primary liaison between clients, program managers, and on-site teams.
- Address on-site challenges by working with subcontractors and offering solutions to clients.
- Regularly update program management and clients on project developments.
- Mentor and support site staff to strengthen their technical capabilities.
- Identify scope modifications and escalate necessary contract adjustments.
- Provide expertise in aircraft maintenance, structural enhancements, and system upgrades.
- Stay informed on industry innovations, new technologies, and aircraft directives.
- Assist sales teams with technical insights and lead training sessions when required.
What We're Looking For:
- At least five years of hands-on experience in heavy aircraft maintenance and structural repairs.
- Open to frequent travel, both nationally and internationally (70%).
- Strong familiarity with aircraft schematics, technical manuals, and military documentation.
- Experienced in building and maintaining strong client relationships with excellent communication skills.
- Adept at making quick, informed decisions and resolving issues under tight deadlines.
- Well-versed in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Project.
- Proficient in English, with fluency in French or Spanish being an advantage.
- Preferred background includes leadership in heavy maintenance, C130 aircraft servicing, compliance with AS9120/ASA-100 standards, or certification in Structural Engineering.
