Logistics Planner (Night Shift) – Dover

This position is ideal for a well-organised, meticulous individual with prior experience in transportation scheduling, logistics planning, and real-time problem-solving. Maintain high service levels while working in a vital role that keeps supply chains running smoothly.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Arranging and planning goods transportation routes.
• Tracking shipments and fixing any problems with transit in real time.
• Coordinating with internal teams, drivers, and clients to guarantee on-time delivery.
• Handling transport documentation, such as paperwork related to customs clearance.
• Optimising loads and routes to cut expenses and increase efficiency.
• Tracking systems and logistics software to keep an eye on the whereabouts of vehicles.
• Ensuring adherence to business policy and transportation requirements.
• Proactively managing unforeseen delays, interruptions, or last-minute modifications.
• Keeping in touch with important parties during the night shift.
• Improving operational efficiency through performance data analysis.
• Arranging emergency response measures for unforeseen transportation problems.
• Supporting the logistics department's efforts for ongoing improvement.

What We’re Looking For:

• Prior knowledge in transportation coordination or logistics planning.
• Experience handling air freight
• Proficient in solving problems and able to function well under pressure.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, particularly when communicating with clients and drivers.
• Familiarity with route optimisation tools and logistical software.
• Awareness of European and UK transport laws.
• The ability to work night shifts (4 on, 4 off, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM).
