A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sales Manager to lead a dynamic inbound sales team within the household goods moving sector. If you are a hands-on leader passionate about driving sales performance and developing talent, this role offers the perfect blend of strategic leadership and direct sales involvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of 5–6 office-based moving sales professionals.
  • Oversee inbound sales operations, ensuring timely and effective follow-up on all household goods moving enquiries.
  • Motivate and develop the team through targeted training, coaching, and one-to-one support.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance in surveying and quoting, maintaining high company standards.
  • Monitor and report on sales KPIs, including lead conversion rates, to senior leadership.
  • Manage workflow and enquiry handling to maximise sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing to enhance lead generation and optimise the sales funnel.
  • Participate directly in the sales process, including quoting and closing high-value moves.
  • Maintain exceptional customer service standards throughout the sales cycle.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in household goods moving sales and surveying.
  • Demonstrated success managing sales teams within a moving company environment.
  • Strong knowledge of inbound sales and enquiry management processes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
  • High attention to detail in quoting and surveying for household moves.
  • Previous experience working within the moving industry is essential.

Working Arrangement:

  • Based at the Hertfordshire office with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.
