We are working with a Freight Forwarding company seeking a Customs Specialist to join their team in Essex. This role is responsible for handling import customs clearances, tariff classifications, and compliance procedures, ensuring smooth freight movement for clients. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Complete import customs clearances for key clients efficiently and accurately.
- Liaise with customers and suppliers to ensure smooth customs processes.
- Offer expert guidance on importing customer goods into the UK.
- Advise clients on commodity codes, customs procedures, and tariff classifications.
- Ensure all work aligns with AEO-accredited freight forwarder standards.
- Prepare and issue invoices and customs-related documentation.
- Accurately calculate taxes and duties for customers.
- Process customs entries for Deep Sea Ocean Freight and European Road Freight.

- Experience in the freight forwarding industry, specifically in customs clearance.
