The predicted salary is between 29700 - 36300 Β£ per year.
We are currently working with a specialist immigration practice who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Immigration Caseworker on a part-time basis. This is a mainly remote role, with just one day per week required in the office.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a range of immigration matters, with a particular focus on Human Rights applications and appeals, deportation appeals and Pre-Action Protocol work.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing a caseload of immigration matters from start to finish.
- Preparing and submitting Human Rights applications.
- Handling Human Rights appeals and preparing the relevant supporting documentation.
- Managing deportation appeals.
- Preparing and dealing with Pre-Action Protocol matters.
- Reviewing client circumstances and supporting evidence to identify the appropriate course of action.
- Preparing applications, representations, appeal documents and client correspondence.
- Keeping clients updated and providing clear advice throughout their case.
- Managing case deadlines and ensuring matters are progressed efficiently.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records.
- Liaising with clients, legal representatives and other relevant parties where required.
Requirements:
We are particularly interested in candidates who have hands-on experience dealing with complex and contentious immigration matters, including:
- Human Rights applications, including applications based on private and family life.
- Human Rights appeals and preparing supporting evidence and written representations.
- Deportation appeals and matters involving individuals facing removal from the UK.
- Pre-Action Protocol correspondence and challenges relating to immigration decisions.
- Reviewing client circumstances and evidence and identifying the most appropriate immigration route or course of action.
- Preparing clear, accurate and well-structured legal and immigration documentation.
- Managing casework from initial instruction through to submission, appeal or resolution.
- Working to strict deadlines and keeping on top of multiple cases at different stages.
