A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced sales manager to take charge of a dynamic inbound moving sales team. If you\’re a hands-on manager with a background in household goods moving and a passion for leading people, we want to hear from you.
This role is based in Hertfordshire and involves running a team of 5–6 office-based moving sales professionals. With a strong focus on converting leads and managing enquiries, this role blends strategic leadership with direct sales involvement.
Responsibilities:Lead and manage a team of 5–6 moving sales professionals.Oversee inbound sales processes, ensuring timely follow-up on all household goods moving enquiries.Drive team performance through motivation, training, and one-to-one development.Ensure all surveying and quoting is accurate and aligned with company standards.Track sales performance, leads conversion rates, and reporting KPIs to senior leadership.Manage workflow and ensure enquiries are actioned promptly and effectively.Collaborate with marketing to improve lead generation and sales funnel.Be actively involved in the sales process, including high-value quoting and closing.Maintain high standards of customer service throughout the sales cycle.Work from the Hertfordshire office a minimum of 3 days per week
Requirements:Proven experience in household goods moving sales and surveying.Demonstrated background in managing sales teams in a moving company environment.Strong understanding of inbound sales and enquiry management.Excellent leadership and people management capabilities.High attention to detail in quoting and surveying for household moves.Previous moving industry experience is required.
