Our client, an expanding gallery in London are looking for a Gallery Registrar. This role would most suit a candidate with previous experience in fine art logistics or shipping.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support the Gallery Manager and team in daily activities.
  • Coordinate the shipping (both inbound and outbound) and handling of artworks for art fairs and exhibitions.
  • Providing updates regarding the shipping of artworks and liaise with shipping companies to track items.
  • Provide clients with information regarding all post-sale information including shipping quotations and collection and storage information.
  • Be the primary point of contact regarding shipping, logistics and storage of artworks.
  • Working with the galleries inventory database and uploading artworks, maintaining an efficient list of records of all the works.
  • Further administrative tasks.

Skills required:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, with a Gallery, Auction House or in a Fine Art Shipping Company, required.
  • Excellent communication skills, including strong client service skills.
  • Good understanding of fine art shipping procedures and documentation .
  • Art Handling experience is highly beneficial
