Alchemy Arts is looking for a tutor, writer, teacher, zine-maker, or creative facilitator to deliver the Literature & Zines strand of the Muslim Artists Academy. This role involves delivering 10 creative workshops to a group of around 10–15 participants, supporting them in developing their writing, storytelling, and creative expression, leading to a final published outcome. The workshops will focus on writing, storytelling, identity, creativity, and zine-making. Participants will work towards a final creative piece such as a printed or digital zine, booklet, small magazine, or collective publication. The theme of the programme is Reclaiming The Narrative.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver 10 structured workshop sessions
- Create a clear session plan and outline
- Support participants with writing and creative development
- Guide participants towards producing a final creative piece
- Shape and compile work into a zine or publication
- Create a safe, inclusive, and culturally sensitive learning environment
- Work with emerging Muslim artists and creatives
