The Opportunity
You will be our first dedicated marketing hire - the person who brings coherence, energy and rigour to the way we show up in the market and support the way our people experience and talk about working here. Working closely with sector leads and other senior leaders, this role leads and delivers activity across brand, thought leadership and events - supporting business development including new logos, Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) sectors and new services to current clients. It also encompasses enhancing our employer value proposition and Alchemmy brand across the full mix: content, campaigns and execution. This role suits someone who can move between big-picture thinking and hands-on delivery - an experienced all-rounder who is comfortable as the sole dedicated marketing professional, thrives on variety and knows how to build credibility quickly with senior stakeholders.
What You Will Do
- Brand & Communications
- Maintain and strengthen our brand identity, ensuring consistency across all channels and materials
- Develop and execute a varied content calendar
- Oversee production of high-quality collateral: proposals, sector brochures and one-pagers
- Build and maintain our presence on LinkedIn and other relevant platforms
- Work with HR/People and leadership to articulate our Employer Value Proposition (EVP)
- Develop recruitment marketing content – careers page, social posts, job advertising and candidate-facing materials
- Support internal communications to ensure Alchemmists are engaged with our direction and successes
- Champion our culture and values through storytelling and employee-generated content
- Events
- Support sector leads to plan, manage and deliver events
- Maintain an up-to-date map of external events across each of our current and target sectors, making recommendations on where attendance, sponsorship or a speaking slot would deliver the most value.
- Business Development & Account Support
- Partner with sector teams to develop targeted campaign activity that supports pipeline and client retention
- Track and report on BD-related marketing activities, drawing out insight for the leadership team
- Support and enable the client feedback programme, synthesising feedback into clear, actionable insights, translating positive feedback into case studies, testimonials and referral opportunities
- Support building our profile in new markets, contributing to our go-to-market plans
- Assist research into target sectors: mapping key publications, associations, events and influencers so we know where to show up and who to engage
