Alchem Partners are currently representing a family owned, chemical manufacturing business based in the Northwest. With over 100 years in industry, they are a respected and recognised business with a solution driven and customer centric approach. The current incumbent in the role has had a very successful career within this business and is due to retire later on this year, we are supporting the business in finding a suitable candidate to join their Regulatory team.
The role will be responsible for proofreading technical text and the production, maintenance and provision of documents to maintain company regulatory compliance.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:- Proofread technical text for artwork for product labels and printed packaging.
- Product Hazard Classification.
- Produce and maintain Product Safety Data Sheets.
- Maintain Raw Material SDS dataset to allow hazard classification as above.
- Proofread technical text for Product Information Sheets and other technical documents.
- Coordinate technical information to support product changes for R&D and Marketing, including labels, product information and website updates.
- Advise on business impact of relevant regulatory issues and recommend a course of action.
- Assist with customer product data requests.
- Any other reasonable duties relevant to the role.
- Degree level education in Chemistry or Combined Science including Chemistry or relevant experience.
- Experience in a technical/regulatory role in the Chemical or related industry is desirable.
- A thorough understanding of GHS/CLP is desirable.
- Conversant with relevant sections of regulations such as Biocidal Products/Cosmetic Products, REACH and ADR/IMDG.
In return our client are offering a starting salary of c£30,000pa - £40,000pa, plus benefits, working Monday – Friday days with a lunchtime finish on a Friday.
