Alchem Partners are currently representing a family owned, chemical manufacturing business based in the North West. With over 100 years in industry, they are a respected and recognised business with a solution driven and customer centric approach. Due to growth within the teams, we are recruiting for an experienced European Sales Manager, ideally based in the UK, to manage and nurture the current accounts as well as identify and successfully attain new business.
You will manage sales and distributor accounts, including account introduction, development and management, consistently demonstrating alignment to the company’s value proposition and core values. The successful candidate will be an experienced sales professional with a strong technical bias and experience within agricultural, bio security, hygiene products, customers etc. and understand the full sales cycle including distributor partnerships.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and develop a portfolio of regional accounts, outlining clear goals and objectives for the achievement of company growth targets & regular sales reviews.
- Visit distributor accounts on a regular basis and support distributors with product and practical use training, and end-user site visits, to include overnight stays as required. Product training includes presentations and in-person training.
- Support the European team by attending industry exhibitions and shows that may or may not be geographically located in own sales region.
- Identify new market sectors or products appropriate for the company to develop new business.
- Share areas of knowledge and expertise with Marketing department colleagues.
- Implement price increases in line with company expectations.
- Engage, participate, and learn new skills within the Company Training platforms as required.
- An understanding of biosecurity, hygiene & disinfection chemicals used in the livestock / agricultural markets.
- Proven experience in a similar role on an International/European landscape.
- A good knowledge of business operations in the B2B.
- Knowledge of use of I.T skills: One Drive, Office 365, social media and cloud-based file storage/sharing.
- Knowledge of (or willingness to learn) sales analysis tools such as PowerBI.
- Current UK driving licence.
- Ideally you will be based in the UK with an expectation of travel c25% to maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers.
This role is a great development opportunity to join a growing and expanding Sales team, with great learning and development, a competitive salary of c£60,000 - £70,000pa, bonus, company car and benefits.
