Our client seeks to recruit an experienced Buyer who can support the operations function ensuring availability of materials, services and a smooth PO process across the facility.
You will be responsible for reviewing and securing new suppliers ensuring efficiency, availability and cost effectiveness for the business.
The successful candidate will have proven experience within a buying role, within a manufacturing background.
You will be able to build strong relationships both internally and externally, be able to work closely with the production teams and planners to ensure availability of materials, and review and improve the internal ordering processes.
Required experience: CIPS or similar qualification would be advantageous but not essential Proven experience in a similar position within a manufacturing environment Have strong attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills Ability to travel to suppliers as and when required SAP, Microsoft office and any other system experience would be beneficial Further information available on request!
