Our client seeks to recruit an experienced Warehouse Manager who will be responsible for supervising all activities of the department including overseeing team performance, expediting the receiving and shipping of goods, and ensuring efficient, effective and organised storage and stock inventory. The warehouse manager must be a detail-oriented multi-tasking proven leader who is able to streamline and continually drive continuous improvement activities to help drive health and safety standards, department performance and overall profitability and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Proactively implement, promote, communicate and police health and safety standards and targets. Target of zero accidents / hazards or near misses per month.
- Fully manage the warehouse and chemicals team including playing an active role in recruitment, performance management and employee development.
- Improve the general skillset of warehouse and chemicals team members and bridge skills gaps as identified.
- Identify weekly and monthly warehouse and chemicals throughput by liaising with production planners and heads of departments.
- Supervise daily activities of the warehouse and chemicals, including use of A3 methodology to permanently close out customer complaints, inventory control systems, internal system performance, space management, logistics, floor productivity, and shipping. Customer complaints target to reduce to zero.
- Schedule and oversee the warehouse and chemicals team to meet the demands of the business and manage the flow and quality of work to maximise efficiency and minimise department costs i.e., absence / overtime / cost of complaints / double handling.
- Identify, cost, plan and implement department improvement projects referring to Pareto principles.
- Manage the inspection of equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance as needed.
- Meet regularly with warehouse and chemicals team to review, analyse, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention.
- Oversee and manage logistics utilised to transport products to customers, communicating with air freight companies and drivers to ensure the efficient delivery of goods.
Skills & Qualifications - Essential
- Proven experience in a warehouse lead role within a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience of implementing change / managing improvement projects to maximise the utilisation and workflow for a growing business
- Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedure and policy
- Proficient management / use of warehouse inventory systems
- Proficient and proven implementation of warehouse storage systems
- Time management
- Ability to work with all levels of company staff
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Numeracy skills and an understanding of finance for stock management
- Proven Health & Safety skills
- FLT Licence
Skills & Qualifications – Desirable
- Experience using SAP / SAP Hana or an equivalent ERP system
- IOSH Trained
- ILM Trained

In return our client is offering a salary of c£45,000 - £50,000pa, 32 days holiday, benefits.
