Alchem Partners are currently representing a family owned, chemical manufacturing business based in the Northwest. With over 100 years in industry, they are a respected and recognised business with a solution driven and customer centric approach. Due to a promotion within the team we are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join the existing maintenance team. This role will suit a mechanically biased individual who has some basic appreciation for electrical.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical breakdowns and execute repairs promptly to minimise downtime.
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of machinery and equipment.
- Carry out scheduled work tasks and reports.
- Welding and fabrication duties.
- Manage stock of components and fittings, reordering as required.
- Operation of CMMS system.
- Completion of PPMs.
- Liaise with supplier representatives.
- Maintain accurate service records and history reports.
- Understand and comply with ‘lockout tagout’ procedures, COMAH etc.
- Any other reasonable duties relevant to the role.
Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications:
- City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or above in Engineering.
- Knowledge of FMCGs machinery.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a general engineering role.
In return our client is offering a salary of £40,138pa, plus overtime paid at time and a half, on average 25 hours available throughout the month should you choose to work it. This role is 37.5 hours a week Monday – Friday days.
