Alchem Partners have been retained to source an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead a multi-disciplined team on site in Bradford as well as managing a small number of engineers who work across the other sites here in the UK. Our client is a global leader with a number of plants here in the UK and a true global footprint. The role will focus on existing processes and improvements, leading and mentoring multi-disciplined teams, increasing preventative maintenance activity and projects to support these.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the teams ensuring development, mentoring and coaching for the team.
- Ensure that all maintenance and servicing aspects relating to site are efficiently undertaken to support operations.
- Ensure all works carried out adhere to our safe working systems using PTW.
- Manage Service Contracts and contractors attending site.
- Guide and train maintenance team members on maintenance and repair work.
- Developing and implementing the Planned Preventive Maintenance Systems.
- Conduct investigations based on downtime to determine root cause analysis and then implement corrective and preventative actions using appropriate stakeholders.
- Forecast and manage the maintenance budget.
- Assist in ongoing project work and development of CAPEX projects.
Required experience:
- Proven experience within a similar supervisory/leadership position within a manufacturing environment.
- Degree in Mechanical or other engineering discipline or equivalent certification or experience.
- Multiskilled background with 18th Edition as a minimum and strong mechanical experience.
- Engineer fitter education/experience (desirable/advantage).
- Automation fitter education/experience (desirable/advantage).
- Proficient in basic IT programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email and Internet).
- Hot work card or equivalent.
- Understanding of HMI and PLC Controllers.
- Writing Planned Preventive Maintenance.
- Writing SOP.
- Good understanding of RAMS and H&S.
In return our client are paying c£60,000pa, company car or allowance, bonus and benefits.
