We are looking to recruit a passionate leader (or leaders) to drive forward this key department in our very special school, teaching both A Level and GCSE (where applicable).
The Business and Economics Department at AGS is a thriving, high-performing team teaching across Years 10-13.
Key stage coverage
- Key Stage 4: At KS4, we deliver OCR GCSE Business to three parallel groups. Lessons are dynamic and discussion-rich, with staff using a wide range of teaching approaches to create an engaging and ambitious learning environment.
- Sixth Form: At A-level, we offer OCR Business and Edexcel Economics. Teaching is typically shared between two or three members of the department, giving students a breadth of expertise and a varied learning experience. A-level provision is a central part of this role. Each September, more than 140 students opt for our two A-level courses, reflecting the popularity and strength of the department. We have an excellent track record of outcomes, with many students progressing to study Business, Economics or related disciplines at university, or securing places on prestigious school-leaver or apprenticeship programmes, for example at KPMG, PWC and Mondelez International.
