Join Alcedo Care Kirkby Lonsdale and surrounding areas as a Nights Care Assistant. You will support our service users' independence, dignity, and quality of life by providing compassionate, person-centred care and companionship. You will work with clients in their own homes and support them to access the community. You will join an experienced team and receive comprehensive training to feel confident and competent in carrying out your role to the highest standard.
Pay: £16ph Monday to Friday, £17ph Saturday to Sunday
Shift Patterns: 10pm to 8am

Responsibilities
- Provide personal care (washing, dressing, continence support)
- Medication and meal preparation
- Household tasks and daily routines
- Encourage independence and provide companionship
Additional opportunities (with 6 months experience)
- Complex Care – support individuals with conditions such as spinal injuries, neurological disorders, and respiratory needs. Training includes tracheostomy care, PEG feeding, postural support, and more.
- Children's Support – personal care, emotional support, and daily assistance for children and young people with complex needs.
- Mental Health Support – practical and emotional support to help individuals manage routines, reduce isolation, and build confidence.
No prior experience? Our induction training will give you the skills and confidence you need.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- Willing to work flexible hours, including alternate weekends
- Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references required
- For Complex Care, Children’s or Mental Health duties we require at least 6 months' hands-on UK care experience
