Responsibilities
- Leading, mentoring, and motivating Support Workers and Senior Support Workers to deliver outstanding care and reflective practice
- Taking a lead role in safeguarding, ensuring robust procedures are followed and children's welfare is always the top priority
- Overseeing care plans, risk assessments, and records to ensure compliance with Ofsted and regulatory standards
- Supporting the Registered Manager with staff supervision, performance management, and rota planning
- Taking full responsibility for the daily running of the home in the absence of the Registered Manager
- Driving a culture of equality, respect, and continuous improvement, aligned with Ofsted Outstanding standards
- Leading by example in promoting independence, resilience, and positive routines for every child
- On call responsibilities on a rota basis shared across team
Requirements
- Minimum of NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Residential Child Care
- Experience of working in a supervisory role within an Ofsted setting
- Ability to work 24-hour shifts as per the shift pattern as well as structures admin days
- Understanding of expectations of commitment around working over holiday periods i.e. Christmas and Easter
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and understanding approach
- Strong record-keeping and organisational abilities
- Dedication to promoting the welfare and development of children and young people
- Full UK driving licence and the ability to be able to work across dual homes in Warrington and St Helens
