As a Children's Support Worker with Alcedo Care, you'll play a vital role in supporting children and young people often with complex needs to live safely and comfortably in their own homes. This includes providing personal care, emotional support, and assistance with daily routines, while promoting independence, confidence, and wellbeing. You'll work closely with families and other professionals to create a safe, nurturing environment where each child can thrive. Every day, you'll be making a meaningful difference in a child's life - building trust, offering stability, and being a consistent, caring presence.
Although it is preferable to already have a minimum of 6 months care experience within a UK care setting, this is not essential, as all training is provided to boost your skills and confidence.
Due to the nature of the role, including personal care, unsupervised work with vulnerable individuals, and the need to work flexible hours including late evenings and night shifts, applicants must be aged 18 or over. This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
