Alcedo Care is looking for confident, compassionate and adaptable Rapid Response Mental Health Complex Care Assistants to join our Mobilisation Team, supporting new and existing care packages across our branch network. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong mental health, complex care or secure setting experience who enjoys problem-solving, working dynamically and making a real difference from the very first visit.

Training and Development

You’ll receive outstanding support from our award-winning in-house training team, including Registered Nurses. Our Princess Royal Training Award-winning programmes include in-depth mental health and complex care training, giving you the skills and confidence to support clients with a wide range of needs.

About the Role

As part of our Mobilisation Team, you’ll help new care packages start safely, smoothly and without delay. You’ll work across multiple branches, providing hands-on care and support during the early stages of new services. This is a responsive, fast-moving role where flexibility is essential. You may support both children and adults with a range of complex mental health and care needs, helping each client’s journey begin with calm, confidence and high-quality support.

Following full training, you may support individuals with:

  • Behaviours that challenge
  • Mental health conditions
  • Self-harm, ligature risks and suicide intervention
  • Clinical holds and least restrictive practice
  • Positive behaviour support plans
  • Court orders and DOLS
  • CPI training will be provided where required.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent experience
  • Previous hands-on care experience in homecare, healthcare, mental health or secure settings
  • Experience supporting people with mental health needs, learning disabilities, behaviours that challenge, self-harm, ligature risks or suicide intervention
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle, due to travel requirements
  • A flexible, calm and adaptable approach to working across multiple branches
  • Confidence working in fast-paced and changing environments
